Soil/PH/Texture: Tolerates a wide variety of humus enriched, well-drained soils from sandy loam to clay loam; roses live best in a pH range of 6.0-7.2 with 6.5 being the ideal for optimum growth and flowering. (pH outside of this range causes loss of nutrients which has a detrimental effect of roses.)

Pests/Diseases: roses are bug and disease resistant with a moderate amount of care.
Growing Conditions: low maintenance, dead head to encourage new blooms.
Characteristics: the strong fragrant blooms of this rose bush are medium pink (orchid pink) in color, very full-40+ petals, double, large 4” – 5”, and bloom repeatedly from spring - fall. The foliage is medium green and dense.
Propagation: by stem and tip cuttings, grafting or budding
Wildlife: attracts bees, butterflies, and birds
Facts: Bred by Tom Carruth in The United States in 2001. Introduced in United States by Weeks Wholesale Rose Grower, Inc. in 2004 as 'Memorial Day' and introduced in Australia by Swane's Nursery/Swane Bros Pty Ltd in 2005 as 'Heaven Scent'. Parentage: Blueberry Hill x New Zealand and 2 child plants.
Designer Considerations: use as a hedge, border, accent plant, in containers for patios or decks, great for flower arrangements because of being long stemmed makes them good for fresh cut flowers or dried.
